Student Bead Strings Class Set - Box of 30

Bead strings are a consistently popular resource for teaching mathematics. Their potential applications are wide ranging, from counting and number recognition, through to equivalence, place value, ratio, and estimation.

Tactile resource

On each string are 20 smooth spherical plastic beads. They slide readily along the thick black cord, which has a knot at each end to prevent the beads falling off.

Distinct colours

The beads are in distinct sets of five, alternating vibrant red with white. This system allows clear differentiation between the sets of five.

Children could try skip counting forwards and backwards using the beads, estimating, and testing the outcomes of basic sums, or create patterns/sequences. With fifteen provided, there are enough bead strings for classwork in pairs, or for individual use in smaller groups.

Meets classroom demand

With 30 bead strings included, this set will meet the needs of a busy classroom setting. A box is supplied for easy and convenient storage.
