Teaching students how to manage their emotions and react positively to the feelings of those around them helps to foster a healthy social environment. In turn, nurturing the mental health of students will provide them with the necessary skills for developing healthy home and workplace relationships in the future.
Our range of Social and Emotional Learning resources has multiple uses in the classroom depending on the needs of each student.
These resources give children the option to either practise personal mindfulness alone or work with other students to reach a mutual understanding of each other’s feelings. Some of the activities like the 50 Mindfulness Activity Cards, 6 Social Skills Game Board, and more can be used in groups or by the whole class following an interactive lesson.
Alternatively, if children wish to study their own emotions, resources like the Emotion Dominoes and Feelings Flips can be used independently. Students can also use the Conflict Resolution games to act out scenarios, or quiz each other using mindfulness cards.
