Abacus Educational Suppliers is a proud supporter of the OzHarvest FEAST (Food Education and Sustainability Training) program. 

FEAST is a 10-week curriculum-aligned education program for primary (years 5 & 6) and high (years 7 & 8) schools, which explores the issue of food waste and its environmental impact, positive food choices, and easy classroom cooking.

When enrolled, schools receive a FREE full curriculum package, professional development training and support from the OzHarvest’s FEAST team.​

OzHarvest FEAST Kits

To support the delivery of the FEAST program in schools, Abacus has put together all-in-one OzHarvest FEAST kit packages that suit the class size needs. The complete package includes:  

  • OzHarvest FEAST Kit: Comes with all the basic cooking components that teach skills such as time management, teamwork, and safety in the kitchen.
  • Electric Frypan: The frypan is a great resource for teaching children how to operate electric equipment, practise safety regulations, and be responsible around heated cooking tools.
  • Student Apron: Features the message, 'Nourishing Our Country' which reiterates and reminds you to reduce food waste. It protects uniforms whilst making students feel more involved in the cooking process which helps to enhance their learning experience.
  • Use It Up Tape™: Use the tape to mark containers, or shelf in your fridge, pantry or freezer. A visual reminder will encourage children to reduce food waste which means they will grow up with healthy habits whilst becoming adults who will make more sustainable and mindful choices.
