Pulleys when combined with motors can be used to demonstrate how a rotational force from a motor can be distributed and transferred to other objects using these pulleys. This combination can also be used to demonstrate how power can be determined by calculating the work done and time taken to carry out the work.

These pulleys are ideal for electric circuit kits. A simple way to demonstrate force and motion is to connect it to alligator clips with leads and battery holder with batteries. Use a bulb to light up or buzzer to produce sound or observe the pulley with motors rotate. Try adding some paper or card propellers to the motor or a piece of string tied around the pulley for a better visual of the motor running.
