Bulk Magnet Kit

The Bulk Magnet Kit helps teach the basics of magnetism to aspiring young scientists.

This sturdy blue box contains marbles, wands, horseshoes, and more…but what do these objects all have in common? Magnetic fields! This kit includes a variety of science experiments which all aim to teach students the core principles of magnetism. The study of magnetism will prove relevant to further studies of chemistry, physics, and earth and space science.

Pair Up to Play

There are two items that can be used with a buddy; the plastic cased bar magnet (pair) made of magnets pulling in opposite directions, and the super magnet (pair) which students can push together to feel the force of the world’s strongest permanent magnet.

Colourful Resources

The magnetic wands come in a set of six bright colours and are best used with the colourful magnetic marbles which can be stuck together in strings or pulled apart by the force.

In the classroom, this equipment can be used in many ways to teach the basics of magnetism.

Experiments include rings that when stacked up magnetically repel each other and float. The horseshoe magnets can pick up counters and iron filings. These filings can also be placed in the iron filing bubbles to observe invisible magnetic fields. Magnetic experiments can be completed by students independently and in groups, or teachers can use these to demonstrate during class lessons.
