Description / Word Building Flips
These Word Building Flips showcase how many common words can be built using onsets (initial consonant sound/digraph/blend before a vowel sound) and rimes (vowel followed by consonant sounds in a word or syllable).
The first set of flips consist of the onsets, whilst the second set consists of rimes. The onsets and rimes are in blue and pink letters, respectively, making them easier to visually differentiate and break down.
The images for each word span across the flips, so it’s clear which onsets should be paired with what rimes.
