Description / School Design Playing Cards
The school playing cards are designed for children to easily understand and learn from.
This pack of playing cards can be used to play traditional games that teach key maths concepts like counting, addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, place value, probability, sequencing, and more. Each card has a border which holds the suit images whilst the number sits on the outside, helping students to distinguish between the two different number formats.
Build strong communication
Not only are these cards easy to use, but encourage social and emotional learning through verbalising mathematical language when playing group games.
Mixing old with new
The cards classic style means there are endless games to play that students will be familiar with, which is enhanced by the addition of boarders which modernises these for easy use. The cards are fantastic for encouraging social interaction whilst teaching core mathematics. For students who prefer independent study, these can be used to practise number recognition and counting.
Regardless of individual use, the cards serve as a fun way to practise foundational mathematics that will be a gateway to later learning. For ideas on what to play, check out the Cards on the Table Book by Dr Paul Swan.
