This book helps children practise their rhyming skills using monsters - or rather, images of them.
One flip features an image of the monster, whilst the other has words with blanked-out letters. Images are included beside each word to serve as clues. To check the answers, simply move the flips the other way. A ‘how to play’ guide is included with each flip folder for easier reference as the game moves along.Â
The game improves children’s reading ability and phonological awareness where they become familiar with how words and sounds work. It also develops their creativity and imagination by creating their own monsters.
