Number Balances Class Set

The class set, including demonstration balance, allows you to work through numeracy tasks with your students, encouraging them to problem-solve and communicate effectively. Twenty weights of ten grams each are provided with every balance.

With 15 student balances supplied, the set easily caters for pair work. You’ll have the flexibility to set students tasks or to lead demonstrations for them to follow through step by step.

The pieces pack neatly into a lidded jumbo Gratnells tray, ideal for compact storage within the classroom or school storeroom.

Colourful and Durable

Each component is a bright shade of yellow, blue, or green. The numbers stand out clearly against the number line so that children can easily read from it. Sliding compensators allow you to fine tune the balance.

This versatile resource has seemingly endless potential applications. Ideal for introducing number recognition and counting, as well as the concepts of greater than/less than, odds/evens, and of course equivalency. Older students could use the balance to tackle fractions and arithmetic.
