The Digital/Analogue Scales Pack allows students to weigh an item and compare how the weight is displayed on each type of scale.

Digital Scale

The long lasting and easy to use digital scale can be used for weighing various items that measure up to 5kg maximum. The scale has a digital screen that reads the kilograms and grams. On the right side is the TARE and on and off switch, whilst on the left side is the units option.  

The scale comes with an auto-off feature which helps to save on the battery life between uses.

Analogue Scale

The school-friendly metric analogue scale allows students to weigh objects up to 5kg, as well as easily convert to and from kilograms and grams.

The face highlights the kilo numbers in red, whilst their equivalents in grams are indicated in even multiples of 100. It’s useful for teaching concepts such as ‘2kg and 500g is the same as 2.5kg’. Children learn that, as they put more and heavier objects in the tray above, the red pointer moves clockwise to indicate that the weight has increased.
