Compound Words Dominoes - Carton of 6

Make compound words more interesting with these special dominoes created for young learners.

Each domino piece consists of two root words that can make up a compound word. These root words come with images that can only be completed if they’re matched with their ‘partner’, creating the appropriate compound word. 

The words on each domino piece can be easily differentiated, thanks to one word being set against a white background and the other against a sky-blue background.

Play Learning Rules

• Place dominoes face down
• Each player takes 7 dominoes
• One player places a starting domino
• Each player takes turns matching the end of a domino to form a chain. For example, the word ‘hot’ must be joined with the word ‘dog’ (as indicated by the accompanying images)
• If a player can't place a domino, then they must pick up a spare from the pile
• The player to play all their dominoes first wins
