The 2D/3D Shapes Kit holds three kinds of geometrically shaped toys, a sketching template of primary shapes, and a medium drawstring bag. This is a hands-on learning kit that that will transform geometry from your child’s subject to their next hobby. 

The Geometric Solids – Folding Plastic (Set of 16) includes shapes that can be attached to one another, broken down, and reattached. This exercise encourages students to build their own geometric structures and critically analyse dimensions. This set of 16 is perfect for group work in a classroom and can be used as a reference point for language such as ‘vertices’, ‘edges’ and ‘faces’.

The Geometric Solids – Soft Foam (set of 12) is a collection that teaches the diversity of geometric shapes and is soft enough for any child to play with. The shapes are light to carry, convenient to store, and can be used for either class activities or as building blocks at home. 

The 3D Mini Geosolids (set of 32) are made of a durable plastic and come in four different sizes. This set can be used to practise attribute identification by sorting the pieces by flat vs curved surfaces, faces, and edges. Students can familiarise themselves by sketching 2D and 3D shapes, practising measuring different aspects and comparing/contrasting. These activities are examples of how the 3D Mini Geosolids promote use of mathematical and reasoning language.

The Primary Shapes Template Set offers a range of shapes in different sizes to sketch and outline. This device will encourage the young artist to think about how shapes are affected by perspective, making this a perfect tool for both maths and creative pursuits.  

A medium drawstring bag is included so that everything remains together as your child runs between classes or around the house. The light blue Gratnells tray is easy to transport and can be used as a multifunctional storage unit for school supplies.

- 8x 2D nets for cylinder, square pyramid, cube, cuboid, cone, hexagonal prism, and triangular pyramid.
- 8x corresponding transparent 3D Geometric solids for the above shapes. Each shape measures H 75mm.

1x Geometric solids – soft foam

- 12x foam geometric solids (sphere, hemisphere, 2x cylinders, 2x cuboids, cube, pyramid, cone, octahedron, hexagonal prism, and triangular prism). All of the shapes fall within a range of 43mm – 75mm, most are 50mm. The storage jar measures L 130mm x W 130mm x H 180mm.
- Transparent plastic storage container with screw top lid.

1x 3D mini Geosolids

- Includes 32x Geometric shapes (4x cones, 4x cubes, 4x hexagonal prisms, 4x square pyramids, 4x cylinders, 4x triangular prisms, 4x triangular pyramids, 4x rectangular prisms). The shapes come in four different sizes, ranging from 12.7mm to 44mm.

1x Primary shapes template:

- Includes 5 durable labelled templates: circle, triangle, rectangle, square and hexagon. The rectangle (for reference) measures 190mm x 114mm.

1x Medium sized Drawstring bag.

1x Deep light blue Gratnells tray with lid.
