Activity Ideas

• Write examples of the four types of sentences by function (declarative, interrogative, imperative and exclamatory) on the whiteboard, and ask students to identify which is which by placing the appropriate punctuation mark beside each sentence
• Ask students to write their own sentences on the whiteboard and use the correct punctuation mark for those
