Place Value Spinners - Set of 5
Description / Place Value Spinners - Set of 5
These spinners are usefully designed to help you teach place value to primary aged children. Created by Dr Paul Swan, an expert in mathematics manipulatives, each card has a group of three spinners to differentiate between ones, tens, and hundreds. Numbers can be generated from 0 up to 999. Combining two spinners will take the maximum up to 999,999!
Colourful spinners
One card contains three spinners, each presented in a different attractive colour. Blue represents hundreds, green represents tens, and orange represents ones.
A peaceful classroom
Spinners make for a quiet alternative to dice as a place value generator. They’re self-contained and don’t make noise when used. Ideal for a classroom where multiple students may be working on different activities at the same time. Apply during activities to teach number recognition and understanding, practise number facts (odds/evens, greater than/less than), and as a means of generating random numbers for arithmetic tasks.
