MAB - Flats - Plastic (10)
Description / MAB - Flats - Plastic (10)
MAB ‘Flats’ represent the ‘hundreds place’ of the base ten system, whereby ten single units form one ‘long’, ten longs form one flat, and ten flats form a cube. With use alongside the units, longs, and cube, it’s possible to explain place value in a clear and accessible format.
Practical and hard-wearing
Bright orange, easy-to-clean, and made from smooth plastic, the pieces can withstand frequent use in the classroom. Each flat has indents at regular intervals to make clear that they’re made up of 100 equal parts. The flats are fused and therefore cannot be dismantled. All 10 supplied are uniform in size, shape, and colour.
Engaging in tricky topics
Providing a practical resource like this one makes it easier for children to see the connections between units and their values. Being able to manipulate the pieces to solve tasks will engage them with the concepts, whilst also allowing them to practise fine motor skills.
A supply of 10 flats is perfect for a classroom environment, where they can be shared amongst students either for individual or small group work.
In full, this set contains: 10x MAB flats (Plastic).
Each piece measures L 100mm x W 100mm x H 10mm.
