Student Torch with AA batteries
Description / Student Torch with AA batteries
Student Torches can be used to assist in science classes that demonstrate electricity, can be utilised outdoors to explore dark spots in nature, or as a pointer during lessons. Torches are also handy on school camps for games such as spotlight. Students can use the torches independently or in groups to complete class games and activities.
Easy to use
The torche is ideally sized for childrens’ hands, have an easy to use on/off switch, and include AA batteries. Torch can be used to demonstrate why the sky is blue (with the torch acting as the sun). You will need a clean glass jar, water, milk, and a dark room. Make sure the room is dark, then shine the torch at the jar of liquid, holding the torch to one side of the jar. The colour of the liquid should appear blue when shining the light from the bottom as blue light is scattered the most as it travels up. We can make this liquid change colour by moving the torch and changing the position of the beam of light. This may appear sunset pink or red, and will intensify as more milk is added to the mixture.
