Description / UV Torch (Blacklight)
This hand-held UV torch (or blacklight) emits ultraviolet (UV) light that can cause many materials to glow or fluoresce when they absorb it.
Objects glow under black light, because they absorb the invisible UV radiation and emit a light of a different wavelength that is visible to us as luminescence. Objects that continue to emit light after the source is removed are known as phosphorescent.
The UV spectrum emitted by this torch is in the long-wave range which is harmless to our skin and eyes but like all light sources it is never a good idea to shine the torch directly into people's eyes or our own.
Each torch requires 3 x AAA batteries (included) and measures 95mm x 30mm diameter.

Timely arrival of products. Happy with performance. A couple of the torches had flat batteries on arrival, but they worked once new batteries were installed.
