The Crystal Polydron set is designed for use by the whole class, particularly as a learning resource for addressing topics in mathematics and technology. The pieces can be used to appreciate 2D shapes, or easily clipped together at their edges to create 3D structures. In doing so, students will develop their mathematical language skills whilst describing and evaluating shapes such as cubes, tetrahedrons and dodecahedrons. 

Translucent shapes

Four key shapes (polygons, hexagons, squares, and triangles) are supplied in five translucent colours; red, yellow, blue, green, and clear. Having see-through pieces allows for students to gain an understanding of the geometric space inside a 3D structure. This is particularly effective when the Cyrstal Polydron Set is used in conjunction with a light source or light table.

Individual square pieces measure 73mm x 73mm. The joining system is compatible with original Polydron shape sets, so can be used in combination with existing school supplies.
