MAB is a base ten system, a reliable means of teaching place value and other key mathematics topics. Singular units measure 1cm cubed. Ten units make up one ‘long’, ten longs make up one ‘flat’, and ten flats form the large cube. With these it’s possible to clearly show the values of ones, tens, and hundreds in the context of place value, arithmetic, fractions, measurement, and much more.
