4-sided, 18mm, Number - Set of 10
A 4-sided die is an example of a tetrahedron. The number is read from the base of the dice.
4-sided dice are great for young children to work with small numbers. For older children digits may be assigned to points of the compass, e.g. 1 = North, 2 = South, 3 = East, 4 = West.
4-sided dice may be combined with other dice to create games like Dice Darts (see page 34 from Dice Dazzlers – Dr Paul Swan book).
Dice are a versatile tool to reinforce key maths concepts like counting, number recognition, probability and more. They are a great resource for various maths activities.
