Battery life minimal

We were disappointed with the quality of the batteries as they did not last very long. Mos students had not even finished construction before they ran out. They used the batteries to make sure their motor circuit worked and by the time they had finished and wanted to test their vehicles the batteries were dead! Disappointed with this product - last year we bought cheap ones from the local $2 store which lasted longer. Thanks
