EasyRead Rainbow Clock - Set of 5
Description / EasyRead Rainbow Clock - Set of 5
These time-teaching clocks are designed by award winning Roger Shackleton, who first came up with the idea when trying to teach his own children to tell time. The clockface features colour-coded sections for ‘minutes to’ (red) and ‘minutes past’ (green). This system works with children of all developmental stages.
A simple three step process
Teaching time is made so much simpler with this three-step system.
Step 1: Read the number at the end of the long hand. Step 2: Say “minutes to” if it’s pointing to the red side of the clock, or say “minutes past” if it’s pointing to the green side. Step 3: Read the number at the end of the short hand.
For example: 8… minutes to… 2!
Made for young children
The clockface has a diameter of 350mm, with clear, easy-to-read numbers in bold rainbow of reds, greens, and blues. At each minute graduation the number is written (ascending to 30, descending back to one), to help children fill in the components of their time telling sentence. The electronic sweep movement is silent.
A set of five will comfortably cater for multiple groups of children within the classroom. Alternatively, five separate classrooms could benefit from this educational clock!
Requires 1x AA battery which is not included.
